Maebellyne Ventura is a tech-savvy digital marketer and entrepreneur with a passion for online communications.

An ex-pat by birth, I have lived in the Middle East, the Philippines, the UK and now conquering Switzerland one day at a time. Maintaining trans-continental relationships is a feat in itself but thankfully, I grew up during the internet age, which has made keeping in touch easier than ever before.

My experiences as a digital native have greatly influenced my outlook on online communications and social media both personally and professionally. Currently, I am a digital marketing manager for a thriving recruitment agency and workforce solutions provider,  building and executing strategies to engage candidates and clients via the social web.

I’m also 1/4 of a start-up, Clever Biscuit, where we focus on bringing great ideas to life as beautiful and intuitive web applications. Our current products tackle personal finance, social recruitment and international SEO.

When I’m not blogging here, I write about social media best practice and recruitment over at The Undercover Recruiter, possibly the #1 recruitment and career blog in the UK and Europe.

There’s a line between obsession and passion, I’d say I normally toe that line. Read about my musing, opinions and best practice recommendations on this blog but please bear in mind that none of my views reflect those of my employer.

You can get in touch with me here, I’m available for networking, consulting, press comments and guest blogging.

  1. Hello Maybellyne!
I came across your blog through LinkedIn. After graduating with a degree in Management Info Systems, it took me a long time to figure out with direction to go regarding a career path. I found out about social media marketing from a friend who works in it, and I am trying to find out how to get a job in the industry, entry-level since I don’t have much experience. I read both pages of your blog, good stuff. Have you reached any success in finding work that you haven’t yet had a chance to post?

    1. Hi Kevin!
Thanks for taking the time to read through my website. It’s been about 10 weeks now since I started looking at social media. I did manage to get an internship which I’ve written about in my most recent post. Through LinkedIn, I’ve volunteered my services to an organisation called EYP Dublin. I am currently managing their online engagement. I’m hoping that I will gain enough experience with them to look for a paid job in sm marketing in a few months time.
      How’s your search going?
