Today’s TED Talk was based around meditation and the idea that taking at least 10 minutes out of your day can help prevent stress from becoming too overwhelming. I’ve always thought meditation was about clearing your mind of any thoughts. However, as Andy Puddicombe shares, it’s about mindfully watching thoughts come and go and not being too pre-occupied with any single passing thought.

I tried to do some meditation immediately after the video. It’s difficult to hit the balance between focusing enough to stay awake but not focusing too much that your mind gets caught up in everything. Maybe I’ll try it out again tomorrow.
